Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Wattle Vision collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to any order you place with us.
What we collect
- Contact and delivery details — your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.
- Order information — what you bought, when, what you paid, and the status of your delivery.
- Payment information — handled by Shopify Payments and our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — if you create an account, your login details and saved preferences.
- Technical information — your IP address, browser, device and how you move through the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or through the contact form.
Why we collect it
- To take payment, pack your order and get it delivered.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds, returns and warranty issues.
- To send you order and dispatch notifications.
- To send marketing emails, but only if you have opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep the store secure.
- To understand which pages and products people find useful, so we can improve the site.
Health information
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, detailed medical information. If you mention a health condition when contacting support, we use it only to answer your question and we do not add it to any marketing list.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the store: Shopify (our ecommerce platform), our payment providers, our shipping carriers, and our email provider. Each is bound to use your information only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Where your information is stored
Our store runs on Shopify, and some of our providers store or process data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for seven years to meet Australian tax and consumer-law obligations. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for two years.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store may stop working correctly if you do.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email support@wattlevision.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email support@wattlevision.com first so we can try to resolve it. If you are still not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
This store is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page.
